What you can do.
A copy shows your work as it is now. A history lets you return to how it was before. Time uses Kopia to create encrypted Vaults and arrange restore points on a timeline.
Recurring project protection
Configure schedules for the folder that matters, with retention policies for its history. Choose the scope to protect instead of treating the whole computer as a single task.
History in a destination you choose
Keep a Vault locally, on an external drive, or in a compatible cloud. Kopia preserves versions with deduplication, avoiding repeated storage of identical content in every restore point.

Is Time a complete operating-system clone?
No. Time protects the file scope you select in Vaults. It is not presented as whole-system imaging or complete computer recovery.
What encryption does Time use?
Time uses Kopia encryption and a per-Vault passphrase. AGE is a separate layer for Transfer and Fusion; it is not applied on top of Vaults in this version.
Will restoring overwrite the files I am working on?
The default workflow restores into an existing empty folder without merging with existing contents. Review the destination before restoring.
Do schedules continue after I quit everything?
Execution depends on the configuration and lifecycle of the app or background agent. Do not assume that every schedule continues after fully quitting Voidger.
Where is the Vault passphrase stored?
The passphrase is held in the operating system’s secure credential store. It is not published in transfer logs or exposed to the interface as password text.
