# Voidger Transfer

> Transfer files across clouds, accounts, and drives. Explore pause, Smart Resume, integrity audit, and AGE file encryption in Voidger Transfer.

Moving a library should not mean switching between several apps without knowing what finished. Transfer puts source, destination, and progress in one workflow so you can copy your data with clarity.

## What you can do.

1. **A copy of your library outside the cloud**: Take photos, videos, or documents to an external drive. Select files and folders and follow the work, keeping a copy somewhere else you control.
2. **Change accounts without changing tools**: Copy content between connected services and accounts. Reorganize storage when a project needs a new destination or another provider makes more sense.
3. **Protect a file before sending it**: Enable AGE for an eligible local file. Voidger encrypts the content on your computer and sends the .age file to your chosen destination. This protection works without Fusion or file splitting.

## From the first step to the result.

1. **Choose source and destination**: Use compatible folders, drives, or connected clouds.
2. **Review the copy**: Set applicable options, including integrity audit or AGE for an eligible file.
3. **Follow and resume**: View progress and logs, pause when needed, and use Smart Resume for compatible jobs.

## Copying, syncing, and versioning are different choices

Use Transfer for one-off copies, Sync for changes in two directions, and Time to preserve a restore history.

## Your questions, answered.

### Does Copy delete files that exist only at the destination?

No. Copy preserves destination-only items. Still, review any warnings about files with matching names before starting an operation.

### Does resume always continue from the last byte?

No. Smart Resume uses checkpoints to reuse what can be verified. Handling of a partially uploaded file depends on the operation and provider.

### Can I encrypt without splitting the file?

Yes. AGE in Transfer accepts a single eligible local file and produces an .age file. Folders are not eligible for this workflow. Fusion is a separate option for distributing parts.

### Is Voidger encryption already post-quantum?

Not yet. The AGE project has a hybrid post-quantum mode, but Voidger’s current integration uses X25519. An upstream capability should not be confused with a feature already available in the app.

### What happens if I lose my AGE identity?

The matching private identity is required for decryption. The current version cannot export or import identities. Creating a new identity does not restore access to files protected by the previous one.
