# Voidger Air

> Send files between nearby Voidger computers or save destinations in your clouds, folders, and drives. Explore Air for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Some files need to reach the computer beside you. Others belong in a cloud folder or on an external drive. Air brings these routes together: Nearby connects Voidger desktops on the same network with recipient consent, while saved destinations give you a place to drop files for recurring copies.

## What you can do.

1. **From your laptop to your workstation**: Send files between two Voidger computers on the same Wi-Fi or wired network. The recipient chooses whether to accept and where to save the content.
2. **A bridge between operating systems**: Exchange files across macOS, Windows, and Linux without relying on a tool exclusive to one manufacturer. The Nearby workflow stays on the local network without a cloud relay.
3. **A destination you use every day**: Save a folder, mounted volume, or connected cloud folder as an Air destination. These shortcuts use Transfer Copy and keep the activity visible in history.

## From the first step to the result.

1. **Open Voidger on both computers**: Connect both to the same local network for Nearby.
2. **Choose the recipient**: Select the discovered computer and send the request.
3. **Wait for consent**: The recipient decides whether to accept and where to receive the files.

## Close to you, under your control

Discovery depends on the network allowing communication between computers. Guest networks and isolation rules can prevent devices from finding each other.

## Your questions, answered.

### Can Air send files to anyone over the internet?

No. Nearby works between Voidger desktops on the same local network. It does not provide internet discovery, NAT traversal, or a cloud relay.

### Does Air work with phones or AirDrop?

Air is not an AirDrop client and does not provide this workflow for phones. Nearby requires Voidger on both computers.

### Does the recipient need to approve?

Yes. The standard workflow shows a request and requires explicit consent before the transfer.

### Are saved destinations and Nearby the same thing?

No. Nearby connects two computers over the local network. Saved destinations are copy shortcuts, including local folders, mounted volumes, or connected clouds.

### How is the transfer checked?

Current Air verification covers file counts, relative names, and sizes. This version does not promise content verification through a SHA-256 manifest.
